Product Overview
The Fornyk Adjustable Horse Fly Mask with Ears is engineered to deliver comprehensive protection while maintaining the natural comfort horses expect during daily activities. Crafted from high‑strength tear‑resistant nylon micromesh, the mask offers a clear, see‑through view that eliminates visual obstruction, allowing horses to see their surroundings without compromise. The mesh fabric is lightweight yet durable, resisting tears and fraying even under rigorous turnout conditions, and it dries quickly after exposure to rain or sweat.
Up to 70 percent UV protection is integrated into the design, shielding the eyes, ears, and surrounding skin from harmful solar radiation, dust, and airborne irritants. This level of protection reduces the risk of eye infections, skin irritation, and heat stress, especially during peak summer months when flies and mosquitoes are most active. The mask’s ergonomic shape follows the contours of the horse’s head, providing full coverage without restricting peripheral vision.
Comfort is further enhanced by a soft fleece lining that rests gently against the forehead, nose, and throat, preventing rubbing or chafing during extended wear. The double‑lock strap system allows precise adjustment to accommodate a wide range of head sizes, from small ponies to large draft horses, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit that stays in place even during vigorous movement.
Maintenance is straightforward: the mask can be rinsed with water and left to air dry, with the nylon material resisting odor buildup and mold formation. Its transparent design also makes it easy to inspect for any signs of wear, allowing owners to address issues before they affect performance.
Usage
This fly mask is ideal for a variety of equine environments, including pasture turnout, trail riding, competition arenas, and barn stalls. Whether the horse is grazing in a sunny field, training on a dusty trail, or participating in a show where appearance matters, the mask provides reliable protection against flies, mosquitoes, and harmful UV rays.
Because the mask is breathable and lightweight, it does not add noticeable weight or heat, making it suitable for use during hot summer days as well as cooler seasons when insects are still present. The design also accommodates horses that wear additional protective gear such as fly boots or sheets, allowing for a layered approach to full‑body fly protection without compromising comfort.
Owners can confidently use the mask for daily turnout, knowing that the easy‑clean material and adjustable fit reduce the time spent on grooming and equipment management. The mask’s durability ensures it will withstand repeated washing and exposure to the elements, delivering long‑term value for both hobbyists and professional trainers.

FAQ
How do I determine the correct size for my horse?
Measure the circumference of your horse’s head just behind the ears and compare it to the sizing chart provided on the product page. The mask is designed to fit a range of sizes, and the double‑lock strap system allows fine‑tuning for a snug yet comfortable fit.
Can the mask be used with other fly protection gear?
Yes, the mask works well alongside fly boots, sheets, or blankets. Its low‑profile design ensures it does not interfere with additional equipment, allowing you to create a comprehensive fly‑control system.
Is the mask suitable for horses with sensitive skin?
The inner fleece lining is soft and hypoallergenic, minimizing the risk of irritation. For horses with extreme sensitivities, we recommend a short trial period and monitoring for any adverse reactions.
How should I clean and store the mask?
Rinse the mask with cool water after each use, gently squeeze out excess moisture, and allow it to air dry in a shaded area. Store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to preserve the UV‑blocking properties.
