Country Vet Mosquito Fly Spray Refill 6.9oz Zep Horse Repellent

Description

Product Overview

Country Vet Mosquito Fly Spray Refill is a professional‑grade insect control solution designed specifically for equine use. Packaged in a convenient 6.9 oz (approximately 200 ml) spray bottle, this product combines the trusted Zep brand reputation with Country Vet’s expertise in horse health. The formulation targets a broad spectrum of biting insects, including flies, mosquitoes, and gnats, delivering rapid knock‑down action that helps prevent the discomfort and potential disease transmission associated with these pests.

The spray utilizes a blend of active ingredients that are carefully balanced to provide effective protection while remaining gentle on the horse’s skin and coat. It is non‑sticky, odor‑controlled, and free from harsh chemicals that could irritate sensitive areas such as the eyes, nostrils, or wounds. The fine mist application ensures even distribution across the animal’s body, reaching hard‑to‑cover regions like the mane, tail, and lower legs where insects often congregate.

Designed with practicality in mind, the bottle dimensions of 2.7 x 2.7 x 5.6 inches make it easy to store in a stable, tack room, or on a mobile grooming kit. The lightweight 9.9‑ounce (0.62 lb) container is portable for on‑the‑go use during trail rides, competitions, or pasture turnout. The product is manufactured in the United States under strict quality‑control standards, ensuring consistency batch after batch.

Customer feedback highlights a 4.6‑star rating from over 400 reviews, praising the spray’s quick action, pleasant scent, and the noticeable reduction in insect activity after just one application. As a top‑ranked item in the Horse Fly Repellents category, it has earned a reputation for reliability among horse owners, trainers, and veterinarians alike.

Usage

For optimal results, apply the spray to a clean, dry coat before the onset of insect activity, typically in the early morning or late afternoon when flies are most active. Hold the bottle 6‑8 inches away from the horse and mist evenly, focusing on the neck, back, belly, legs, and under the tail. Re‑application is recommended every 5‑7 days during peak summer months, or after heavy rain or intense sweating, to maintain continuous protection.

This product is suitable for use on horses of all ages and breeds, as well as other large animals such as mules, donkeys, and cattle, provided the label instructions are followed. It can be incorporated into a regular grooming routine, used before riding lessons, shows, or trail rides, and is safe for horses that are being shod, saddled, or fitted with protective blankets. The spray does not interfere with other topical treatments, allowing it to be layered with fly sheets, masks, or wound ointments when needed.
